I soooooo love this chapter. The whole cunning plan... Fantabulous! I talk like this a lot! *gg*

And it was a great relieve from all the angst before.

OMG!!!! I thought I was going to pop a blood vessel from trying to keep the laughter at a suitable level for the hour!!! I do have tears in my eyes....

Some samples of what tickled my funny bone....
"“Well, yeah, but you forgot to order fries, and I need to polish my food-borrowing skills. Hate to admit it, but they’ve gotten a little rusty lately.”

Wilson shakes his head. “How could I have been so thoughtless? I’ll go get you an order of fries right now, how’s that?”"
"You,” he announces to Cuddy, “have a problem. A big problem.”

Cuddy shakes her head regretfully. “I’m well aware of that, House, but once I realized that you have tenure, I figured there are simply some things I’ve gotta learn to live with.”"
"“Mixed metaphors appear to be the least of his problems. Any beds available in Psych?” Wilson replies.

“Yeah,” Cuddy says, “but none in the lockdown unit. I’m afraid we’re stuck with him.”"
"“No, but I do have a plan based in… uh… reality,” Cuddy smiles.

“How prosaic,” House sulks, collapsing into a chair."
"“It’s okay, House,” she soothes. “That was perhaps the most entertaining psychotic break I’ve ever been privileged to witness.”"
"Cuddy and Wilson both stare at House while Cuddy continues, “And of course… you… do realize… that you, uh… get House back.”
“I’m gonna need a raise,” he sighs."

Ok, ok... can't hold it back any longer... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Ok, I feel better now....

Love it, love it, love it!!! The sun after the storm, the laughter after the tears....

...but I`m a n00b and just discovered the fic :D
Everything is so wonderful about your writing - the medical details, the ICness, but this is my favourite chapter in this fic so far - b/c your Cuddy is so Cuddy and her personality is FTW. I really love how big of a part you give Cuddy in your fics :)

thanks; i enjoy writing cuddy, and i believe she plays a pivotal role in house and wilson's relationship. and it's always a lovely surprise to get a comment on an older piece; i'm glad you discovered--and are enjoying--this!
