I got very teary reading the Wilson one. But at the same time I just want to shake the man like a rag doll.

He is in jail for a crime he did not commit.* He has lost his medical license permanently. And he doesn't spend a SECOND saying "it's not fair!" All he does is mope about the fact that House might be unhappy that Wilson is in jail. That's past being "brothers." That's pathological.

*I think - actually Tritter said that if Wilson backed out on testifying he'd go to jail for impeding an investigation. I doubt he'd lose his license over that so I'm not sure what he was convicted of in this series.

I'm not sure what he was convicted of in this series

that'll be brought up in detail later--but here's a clue; tritter has friends at the DEA!!! ;)

*wipes away tears* That last line is a killer.

last line is a killer.

and it actually has a double meaning for wilson, making the thought all the more poignant.... (now i need the kleenex!) :(

I love the contrast between House and Wilson, the former having to be dragged there and spending as little time as possible while the latter using his time up yet equally dubious about therapy in his own way. Wilson's scene shows that, in many ways, he's more dependant on House than anyone realises and he takes his responsibility to his friend very seriously while House reacts like the typical 'little brother' who can't cope when big brother does whatever it takes to protect him.

Hope your wee one's arm is feeling better now.

he's more dependant on House than anyone realises

oh, boy do i agree with this statement! and you know what, i also honestly feel that house is very much aware of wilson's dependence upon him--because, in his own way, he does his utmost to protect wilson too!

You know--I really, really like these stories. They're excellent.

Here's hoping for another. XD

there will, indeed, be another. and house and wilson are, thus far, showing no signs of shutting up--the series will go on until they pack up and move out of this 'verse! :)

Wilson's sesh was far and away my favourite. It was very true to form and quite affecting. Thanks for posting another installment, because I love this series :D

Oh, Wilson, how you break my heart.

James Wilson needs to be reunited with his brother.

Such a friendshippy feel to this line, but still so satisfying; it might even be more satisfying than a lot of the established slash fics.

might even be more satisfying than a lot of the established slash fics

i will take that as high praise, indeed! ;)

What tangled webs we weave... when first we practice forgery. Yup, my take is that House blames himself for the initial link in the chain - that if he had somehow MADE Wilson see that the pain was legitimately coming back, beyond Wilson's own denial (a formidible challenge, I will admit, and one I personally haven't figured out how to do yet), or had otherwise avoided forging that (those?) perscriptions, they would not be in the boat they are in currently.

Spot-on voices here!!! As was stated elsewhere, I can SO hear House reaming this guy a new one - talk about teaching your grandmother to suck eggs! House does need professional help, imo... but for the beginning of it all, not this current symptom, and def. from someone who will be worthy of the secrets told, which is so TOTALLY not this guy! :p

Oh, how beautifully written. I love Wilson's seeing House as his brother, and I love how they hurt for each other, rather than for themselves. Great chapter, so powerful, so in character.
