Nooooooooooooo!

I love the symmetry of this segment - it's beautifully done.

It's also heartbreaking, so I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad that you have more to write.

Okay, I thought the other two chapters were amazing but I was wrong, they were just a build up for this one. I love the counter balance the way Wilson rewards himself and House punishes himself. Heartbreaking.

and that makes it hard to decide which one i feel worse for... :(

What poignant parallel. This really is quite the series. It says so much in so few words. Beautiful, but heart-breaking snap-shots of the lives that might have been had season 3 gone horribly wrong. Exquisite work.

had season 3 gone horribly wrong

welll... ya ask me, S3 did go horribly wrong. just... not in this particular direction! ;)

I think the only thing that could really show the joy I feel for this fic-verse is a long loud squeal. Since that's what I usually do when I see another part to this anyway. o 3o

You can just feel the hurt that radiates from these two. The way Wilson tries to stay strong for House and House continues to punish himself. It's all very wondeful and I'm looking forward to more.

shhhhhhh... author has a migraine. (ask lalablue [and my son]) why....) ;)

got to be more

oh, there will be. whether this is a Good Thing, or a Bad Thing, remains to be seen....

Wow! This is really tremendous :) I've just read the earlier two, and I'm about to go on and read the next one, but I had to stop here to tell you how much I admire the way you've written this. Perfectly balanced, one half against the other. It's painful to read, you've captured them so perfectly. Great stuff :)

glad you're enjoying the series--there'll be more! :)

Greetings!

That saw-edged yin and yang again!!! You understand them so perfectly, painfully well....

Tears at reading that their thoughts are of each other, and of the opposite ways they deal with them.

House... remember the gift. You want a punishment - live up to the sacrifice.

Reading onward,

House punishing himself, Wilson seeking comfort, and both thinking about the other... one sleeping, one awake - LOVE the contradiction that isn't a real contradiction at all, and I cringed at your description of House's pain and just how he punishes himself. My heart goes out to both of them. Such powerful writing, so evocative, so painful. Beautiful, haunting.
